What is it?
Many times it is very difficult to know/understand what our children are experiencing. Below is a graphic I use regularly with students at Curington. Difficulties and conflict with friends/peers is a natural, normal part of life. Even as adults we face many of these situations. What is important is that we understand, most importantly, what they are going through. Are they teasing one another? Is it a mean moment? Are they in a conflict? Is it bullying?
Each of these situations are dealt with in their own specific way. As your child's counselor, I value the importance of giving students the life skills they need to be able to face each of these situations. If your child finds themselves in need of assistance in handling these difficult moments... I am happy to help!!
